Line by Line

I'll be away from my desk tomorrow, trying to get my name in the Book of Life at the very last minute, but there will be no shortage of me on the web. Incidentally, if I don't make the cut, do I get mine before the holiday ends, or just at some point in the next year?

-Quotemonger, back for the regular season, long as hell. And while you're over at SLAM, check out Myles Brown's completely insane Arenas interview. Like really, really completely insane—make sure to read all the way to the end.

-Expect a new Shoals Unlimited at some point tomorrow. It's the pipeline. And my apologies to anyone who feels my Blatche-boosting wasn't sufficient today. When all's said and done, and all hypothetically explored, Andray's not Jamison (who is?), and if he's their center, the team turns into some place I'd really like to be.

-Late on this, but here's LeBron at a voter registration drive saying "change" over and over again. Since that post I did on Wade, someone's told me that when these things are sponsored by third parties, athletes can't officially support one candidate or the other. I'm going to err on the side of agreeing with several knowledgable sources and figure that, if a player did want to put himself in an utterly partisan position, he could.

-Simmons absolutely kills it on the subject of Elgin Baylor. A little more profound than my take on Elgin in QM.

-I'm planning some sort of FreeDarko book launch event here in Seattle. Am trying to get a handle on how many FD readers there are in my fair city, or Portland headz willing to make the drive. Feel free to stage a roll call in this comments section, or just send an email to the company account.

-So all Jews repent, everyone help those schools, and I'll see you tomorrow night!
